Abstract of Special Session

With the continuous grid integration of high-proportion new energy, challenges including insufficient inertia of power systems, intensified power fluctuations and increased operational complexity have become prominent. Energy storage has emerged as a core supporting technology to guarantee the safe and stable operation of power grids and facilitate the consumption of clean energy. Centered on cutting-edge energy storage technologies and application demands of power systems, this special topic brings together experts from universities, research institutes and industrial enterprises. It focuses on core directions such as grid-forming energy storage control, intelligent battery management, and multi-time-scale coordination of energy storage. The discussion addresses technical bottlenecks, innovative solutions and engineering implementation pathways, promoting the upgrade of energy storage from standalone equipment to system-level support capability. It provides technical and industrial references for the construction of the new power system and low-carbon energy transition.

Topics:

  • Control Strategies of Grid-Forming Energy Storage Converters and Active Grid Support Technologies
  • Cooperative Operation and Optimal Allocation of Long-Duration Energy Storage and Short-Time Power-Type Energy Storage
  • Cluster Regulation of Distributed Energy Storage and Technologies for Virtual Power Plants Participating in Power Grid Operation
  • Thermal Safety Protection, Fault Early Warning and Whole-Life-Cycle Optimization of Energy Storage Systems
  • Operation Modes and Economic Evaluation of Energy Storage Participating in Power Ancillary Service Markets
  • State Perception, SOH Estimation and Intelligent Sensing Error Compensation of Lithium Battery BMS under Heavy-Load Conditions
  • Engineering Applications of Energy Storage in Scenarios of Direct Green Power Connection and High-Energy-Consumption Industrial Loads
